This episode is a Memorial Day tribute to my father, James R Jensen, who was an island hopping Marine in World War II. It contains recordings that he made during the last year of his life. In one of them, he describes his perilous experiences in the South Pacific in World War II. He recorded this after he had suffered a stroke in Hawaii. It’s poignant and very human.

The premier episode of The Essential Boomer podcast does a deep-dive into Paul Zavagno, my friend for over 55 years, as an educator and a person. Paul shares with us his spiritual practices and the multi-faceted parts of his personal life that many of his friends aren’t even aware of. Paul also talks about his involvement as a facilitator of the work of Byron Katie.
